The Montserrat Animal Protection Society (MAPS) wishes to thank everyone who attended, contributed items and bid so generously at the MAPS Christmas fundraiser auction on the evening of December 20^th 2007. Many thanks to The Good Life Restaurant, who let us use their premises and equipment for the auction. MAPS also wishes to thank Trevor Stephenson, who deserted the Royal Palm club to become our auctioneer for the night. Trevor’s auctioneering expertise was hugely enjoyed by all, and a special big thank you to the following companies/charities who contributed items for auction:

The Attic, Carole’s Catering, Eddies Trucking, Gourmet Gardens, Ian Dick’s catering, Jewelry by the Sea, Jasmine’s Indian Takeaway, Jumping Jacks, la Colage, Lee’s Pharmacy, the Michigan Humane Society , Montserrat Enterprises, The Montserrat Stationery Store, The Potcake Foundation in Turks and Caicos, Ram’s Emdee Supermarket, the Royal Palm Club, Runaway Travel, Tina’s Restaurant, Tradewinds Real Estate, Traveller’s Palm, Tropical Mansion Suites.

The evening was a great success and all the money raised will go towards building a new animal shelter.

MAPS wishes to acknowledge and thank the following businesses and Individuals for their generous donations during 2006.

· Lynda Green for donating an original painting to use as a MAPS Christmas card

· Harriett Peaks for donating an original painting to use as a MAPS Christmas card

· Bob and Denise Lutz for their generous donations including dog food containers, dog beds and tick and flea treatments for the shelter. Also a wonderful book on dog medical problems.

The Free Animal Clinic in May was made possible by the fundraising efforts of Michigan Humane Society and Denise Lutz and the generosity of the Pfizer Corporation, American Airlines, Gulfstream, The Pegasus Foundation and McCann-Erickson. The Governor of Montserrat Mrs. Deborah Barnes Jones, the Ministries of Agriculture and Health, the Montserrat Defense Force, Bob Lutz, Heather Simpson, the Methodist Church, Nancy Dahlen, and Elliott Campbell also played important supporting roles.

The MAPS Christmas fundraiser auction on the evening of December 21^st2006 was a great success. Many thanks to Carol and Cedric Osborne, who let us use the Vue Pointe Hotel bar/pool area and their equipment for the auction. MAPS also wishes to thank Kurt Foote, whose auctioneering expertise was hugely enjoyed by all, and a special big thank you to the following companies/charities who contributed items for auction:
